How it works

From your idea to patches in your hands

No quote forms. No waiting three days for a callback. You price it yourself in a couple of minutes, we stitch one real patch and send you a photo, and nothing else gets made until you say so.

Step 1 · Build it

Which patch type is right for you?

Eight types sounds like a lot. In practice it comes down to what's in your design.

A photo, gradient or many colorsPrinted

Still not sure?

Send us your artwork and we'll tell you which material suits it — before you order anything. It's the fastest way to get this right, and it costs nothing.

If you'd rather decide by touch, our sample pack puts real embroidered, woven, PVC and chenille patches in your hands for $0.99. We credit the full amount against your first order.

Ask us which type

Size, and what if you don't have a design file

Sizing, the short version

Measure the spot where the patch goes, then take about three quarters of an inch off each side so it doesn't run into a seam. Compare it to something real: a credit card is 3.4 × 2.1", a sticky note is 3 × 3".

Most people land here:

Cap front2.5 × 2"
Left chest3.5 × 3"
Sleeve3 × 3"
Bag or backpack4 × 4"

One rule matters more than the rest: if your design has any text, go at least 3" wide. Below that, letters start to blur.

Every product page has these as one-tap buttons, so you don't have to remember any of it.

No design file? That's not a problem.

Our designers draw it for you, free

You don't need vector artwork. You don't need Photoshop. Send a JPG, a PDF, a screenshot, or a photo of something sketched on paper. If you have nothing at all, describe what you want in a sentence or two and our designers will draw it.

There's no design fee, no setup fee and no digitizing fee. It's part of the order, and you see the result before anything is produced.

Step 2 · Approve it

We stitch one first, then you decide

Most patch suppliers send you a drawing. We send you a photograph of your actual patch — because we make one before we make a hundred.

Example proof email showing a photo of the sample patch and its specifications

An example proof. Every order gets one.

Not a mockup — a real patch

Your design goes onto the machine and gets stitched out for real. Then we photograph it and email you the picture, along with every spec: exact size, patch type, thread colors, border, backing and quantity.

That means you're not looking at an artist's impression of how the thread might sit. You're looking at how it actually sits, in the actual colors, with the actual edge.

Then it's your call

Approve it and the rest of your order goes into production. Or ask for a change — different color, bigger text, tighter border. We stitch another one and send you a new photo. No limit on rounds, no charge for any of them.

Nothing goes into production until you approve. If the sample isn't right, it doesn't become an order.

And the rest match it

Before your order ships, we check the finished patches against the sample you approved. If something doesn't match, we remake them at our cost.

Step 3 · Wear it

Made, checked and packed

The moment you approve your sample, the rest of your order goes into production. Everything is made to order — we don't hold stock, which is why every patch is exactly your design and not a close approximation of it.

Expect your patches 10 to 12 days after you approve. Working to a deadline? Tell us the date before you order and we'll confirm in writing whether we can hit it.

Shipping is free on orders over $275.

Choosing a backing

Sew-on is the most durable and the standard for uniforms and jackets. Iron-on is the easiest to apply yourself. Velcro is for tactical gear, bags and anything you want to swap out. Not sure? Sew-on is the safe default.
